'Four years ago, I got my cat a puppy': Owner of a ginger cat adopts a doggo for him, the kitty instantly ambushes him with endless affection

It is amazing to us how, despite all of the documentation that we have on the internet, people still believe that cats and dogs cannot get along. We know that's something we playfully teach kids or whatever, but really, once we get old enough, we should start seeing the truth. And the truth is that cats and dogs can be best friends. Seriously. 

Of course, we always say that it's a matter of time. Sometimes, it does take a little longer for cats and dogs to get along, because they really are different, and they need to learn each other's languages. But it doesn't always have to take a long time. It doesn't always need to be a struggle. Sometimes, it's a match made in heaven, and the second you adopt a puppy for your cat, that cat - and that puppy - overlooks any and all of their differences. Why? Maybe it's coincidence, and maybe it's just that everyone loves cuddling soft and fluffy cats, not just us humans.

  • We say this as people who are obsessed with cats on a potentially unhealthy level… this is one of the cutest puppies that we have ever seen in our lives, and we legitimately cannot take our eyes off it. It looks like an actual doll. We get why this kitty is obsessed with it.

  • Some friendships are simply meant to be, and although they might never be able to say this to you, we are sure they are thankful that you brought them into each other's lives.
